PCIe 5.0 Accelerator Card ยท Variant #01 of 34 ยท KiCad Design Package

AutoPhi V19 QSFP28 Optical BGA256 KiCad Design Package

The QSFP28 Optical I/O variant (board #01 of 34) of the AutoPhi PCIe x16 accelerator card. Open KiCad 10 design package with the AutoPhi BGA-256 footprint, four TI DS80PCI810 retimers on the PCIe lanes, one DDR3 FBGA-96 memory chip on the data path, a Megtron-6 10-layer stackup engineered for PCIe 5.0 / 32 GT/s signalling, a custom A* maze router with an RAG knowledge base, and a 5-action KiCad plugin set.

One core PCB across 34 I/O variants. The AutoPhi BGA-256 footprint (30 mm ร— 30 mm, 1.8 mm pitch) at U16 is the same on every board; only J6 โ€” the I/O bracket connector โ€” changes by variant.

This is variant #01 โ€” the QSFP28 Optical board with the Amphenol U95T-151100A 1x1 QSFP28 cage at J6. The full 34-variant catalogue spans QSFP-DD 400G and OSFP 800G optical at the high end through CWDM4 100G, USB4 40G, Thunderbolt 4, and DisplayPort 2.0 in the middle, down to industrial RS-485, military MIL-38999, medical LEMO-B, and JTAG / SWD debug brackets at the application-specific end.

PCIe 5.0 / 32 GT/s stackup. Custom AutoPhi BGA-256 main IC (footprint). 4ร— TI DS80PCI810 retimers. 1ร— DDR3 FBGA-96 memory. Custom A* router with RAG knowledge base. KiCad plugin set.

Variant #01 (QSFP28 Optical) of the 34-board AutoPhi PCIe x16 accelerator-card line. J5 PCIe x16 edge connector feeding 4ร— DS80PCI810 retimers (U3, U6, U17, U21) into the AutoPhi BGA-256 (U16, 30 mm ร— 30 mm, 1.8 mm pitch) talking to 1ร— DDR3 FBGA-96 memory (U4, 9 mm ร— 13 mm). 10-layer Megtron-6 stackup (5 signal + 3 GND + 2 power) engineered for PCIe 5.0 / 32 GT/s. Includes the autophi_engine library (~7,700 lines), 25,000+ lines of pipeline scripts, the custom A* maze router (auto_route.py, 2,731 lines) with an RAG citation knowledge base, and a 5-plugin KiCad action set.

Status & Scope

Routing in progress with Edge.Cuts boundary enforcement. The placement is locked, the stackup is final, the autophi_engine + A* router pipeline is functional, and routing iterates against the Edge.Cuts boundary so traces and components stay within the board outline. The buyer takes the routing pipeline forward against their own fab / foundry partner.

The AutoPhi BGA-256 IC is a footprint placeholder, not silicon. U16 is the 30 mm ร— 30 mm 1.8 mm-pitch BGA-256 footprint the IC will populate once fabricated (Project 05 covers the IC silicon separately). The buyer of this PCB design package is acquiring the carrier-board design, not the IC.

Patent Coverage (filed by Christopher Gabriel Brown)

  • USPTO 18/370,908 โ€” AutoPhi: Quantum Battery integration & Electromagnetic Propulsion IC.
  • USPTO 19/403,339 โ€” Optical Quantum Battery.
  • Inventor portfolio refs: 3561/2876, 1026, 1096-1098, 1105, 3559.

Acquisition

$565,000 USD (list)

Scope: PCB + BGA-footprint design package only. The AutoPhi BGA-256 IC silicon itself is not included โ€” the buyer acquires that separately (Project 05) or fabricates it to populate the U16 footprint. AUTOPHI_BGA256 v1 footprint library is a mandatory dependency, separately acquirable. Permission to make, build, and copy. IP retained by Christopher Gabriel Brown.
