CGB Entropic Bridge Deposition

A Novel Mathematical Deposition by Christopher Gabriel Brown

Deposition Date: March 15, 2026 — Project 27: Mathematical Depositions

1 — Full Mathematical Deposition

S = -k_B * Sum_i(p_i * ln(p_i)) >= Contour_Integral(dQ/T) iff d^2F/dT^2 = -C_v/T

2 — Simplified Interpretation

Shannon entropy meets the Clausius inequality meets the curvature of Helmholtz free energy. Three fields, one identity.

3 — Layman (Plain Language)

The disorder in a message, the irreversibility of heat flow, and the stiffness of available energy are all the same inequality wearing different clothes. Shannon proved it for bits. Clausius proved it for engines. Helmholtz proved it for reactions. They never compared notes.

Analysis & Significance

Shannon (1948), Clausius (1865), and Helmholtz (1882) each discovered the same inequality from different axioms across three centuries. The bridge is the partition function Z. All three quantities are second derivatives of ln(Z) with respect to conjugate variables. In encrypted delivery (AES-256), ciphertext entropy is bounded by the same inequality that bounds heat engine efficiency. Brute-forcing AES-256 requires more energy than the Sun will produce in its remaining lifetime. Applications: Encryption strength verification, data center thermal-compute co-optimization, drug discovery free energy screening, quantum von Neumann entropy extension.
