WPD OEM Engineering-Package Acquisition
Publicly online since 2010 · U.S. patent applications since 2012 · inventions offered since 2014. The work of Christopher Gabriel Brown, independently documented.
WPD OEM Engineering-Package Acquisition โ You Become the WPD Vendor
Full acquisition of WPD commercialization rights. You own the platform, control the roadmap, license to whom you choose. Chris steps aside; you become the WritePhi Devices vendor for the world.
What You're Acquiring
Complete IP Portfolio
- All WPD-related patent-pending inventions (V2 packaging tabs, dual-persona strap architecture)
- Trademarks ("WritePhi Devices", "WPD", "WPD-CSD", "WPD-ACCEL")
- All copyrights (documentation, code, schematics)
All Four Sub-Blueprints (Editable Formats)
- V2 Package (mechanical CAD, KiCad schematics, ACA process docs)
- Reference Cards (KiCad 10 source for full card + INSET-PCB variants)
- Windows Drivers (Visual Studio projects, KMDF source, DirectML integration)
- Firmware (bootloader, runtime, both personas, all source)
Test Suites
- Bare-metal firmware tests
- Windows driver tests (compatible with Microsoft HLK)
- Hardware validation scripts
- Performance benchmarks + baseline results
Manufacturing Know-How
- Fab recommendations (Chris's Sanmina/TTM/Multek contacts)
- Assembly procedures (contract EMS partners, pick-and-place programs)
- Yield optimization data (what typical yields look like, common defects)
- Cost models (BOM breakdowns, assembly costs, target selling prices)
Chris's Consulting
- 8 weeks embedded with your team for technical handoff
- On-site (travel reimbursed) or remote
- Handoff plan tailored to your team structure
- Ongoing consulting at $750/hr after embed
Rights You Acquire
- Unlimited manufacture + distribution (USA + international)
- Right to modify hardware + firmware for variants (8-socket, 16-socket, custom form factors)
- Right to sub-license (you can now license other card makers to use WPD)
- Right to enforce IP against infringers
- Right to sell the business to subsequent buyers
Restrictions
- US export control compliance (ITAR, EAR)
- Chris retains attribution as original inventor in academic contexts
- Chris retains right to operate unrelated invention businesses (base WritePhi, AutoPhi, UniPhi, etc.)
Fulfillment
- Purchase via store or direct invoice
- Term Sheet PDF within 5 business days (typically 15-25 pages)
- Buyer legal review (2-4 weeks)
- DocuSign or wet-ink signing
- Payment (wire, escrow preferred)
- Secure delivery of all files
- 8-week embedded consulting begins
Financing
- Milestone-based Term Sheet: 20% at signing, 30% at 90 days, 30% at 180 days, 20% at 12 months
- Escrow arrangement: Standard commercial escrow
- Financing introductions: Chris can introduce boutique investment banks specializing in IP
Why $12,750,000?
- Sunk cost: Chris's ~2 years of full-time work on WPD specifically
- Comparable IP acquisitions: Semiconductor packaging + driver IP deals typically $5-30M
- Revenue potential: Enterprise CSD + ML accelerator markets are $10B+ combined; even 0.5% share = $50M/year
- Strategic value: Dual-persona architecture is patentable; hot-swap packaging is unique
Price is negotiable. Serious offers welcome.
Post-Acquisition
You own WPD. Chris steps aside as vendor. Remains available for paid consulting ($750/hr). You set the roadmap, own customer relationships, decide what WPD becomes.
Portfolio conversation โ WritePhi Devices (Project 58) + WritePhi (Project 57)
WPD does not exist in isolation. It is the Windows host deployment half of the same portfolio conversation that begins in WritePhi (Project 57). Project 57's kitchen-table pipeline โ Writer, Blank, Dicer, PKG socket-BGA, Chassis bed, and reference IC library โ fabricates the M-grade and H-grade WritePhi dies that this card's four pinned sockets accept. The V2 package blueprint here is an explicit production-scale extension of 57's PKG plus additional cut marks and tabs that WRITEPHI-DICER executes in the same dicing pass.
If you are buying on this page, you are in the run chapter: PCIe card reference designs, persona firmware, and Windows driver plans. Makers who need to produce the dies themselves start in the make chapter โ browse WritePhi (Project 57). Either half stands alone for study or commercial licensing; both halves together narrate bench fabrication through installed Windows compute.

Chris's philosophy: Every design engineered by hand. If it's specced, it works. If it has limits, we say so.
