WritePhi-Q SDK — Standalone License

(USD). The WritePhi-Q programming language toolchain, sold standalone for buyers who want to author WritePhi-Q designs and simulate them classically without committing to the full Bundle. Includes twelve months of updates and stdlib-base entitlement.

What is in the SDK

  • wpqc — the compiler. Parses WritePhi-Q source (all three tiers: photonic primitives, quantum gates, memory-cell compute-in-memory), emits PQIR (textual intermediate representation with source-line annotations and stdlib version pins), calls the WritePhi optical-processing SDK for the layout pass, and produces the .wpprog write program that the WritePhi Writer consumes. Tier detection is automatic from the top-level module keyword; source files can freely mix tiers.
  • wpqsim — the simulator. Simulates a design classically. Small Tier-2 designs run as state-vector simulation; larger designs run with a photonic-noise-modeled backend for benchmarking. Rejects programs that exceed the qubit-count simulation budget with a clear error.
  • wpq-lsp — the language server. Standard Language Server Protocol implementation with editor integrations for VS Code, Neovim, and Sublime Text. Provides type checking, error highlighting, stdlib go-to-definition, and photonic-realizability warnings as you type.
  • wpq-inspect — the visualizer. Diffs two .pqir files, visualizes a .wplayout as SVG, timelines a .wpprog, and produces a scaled preview of what a written Q-Blank surface will look like.
  • wpq-stdlib base entries. The core quantum gates (Hadamard, Paulis, CNOT, CZ, T, S, measurement, deterministic prep), the reference implementations of Grover, QFT, VQE ansatz templates, HHL, Shor's period-finding, and the CIM linear-algebra tile family (matmul, transpose, dot, softmax, layer-norm). Twelve-month update entitlement included.
  • Reference examples. The Bell-pair example, a small quantum-Fourier-transform example, a compute-in-memory attention-head example.
  • Full spec documents. WRITEPHI_Q_LANGUAGE spec (the three-tier design + PQIR + lowering discipline + stdlib framing).

What the SDK does NOT include

  • The Q-Blank recording chemistry or manufacturing details (part of the Bundle).
  • Physical hardware (Writer, Dicer, DIMM, Bed).
  • Rights to manufacture or sell WPQ-DIMMs.
  • Priority-date documentation (that is WP2-PDEPO).

Who buys the SDK

Research groups building novel photonic-quantum algorithms who want a canonical target platform to develop against. Universities running quantum-computing curricula that want a domestic-source, license-clean toolchain. Enterprise R&D groups evaluating whether their workloads map to photonic quantum compute before committing to the full Bundle.

Ongoing entitlements

Twelve months of tool updates (compiler, simulator, LSP, visualizer) and base stdlib entries. Renewal at per year thereafter. The Advanced stdlib (defense-grade cryptographic primitives, novel algorithm bundles) is sold separately.

Firewall — what this SKU is NOT. Not an IP transfer. Not a patent license. What the buyer receives is a design + product license package. All underlying platform IP (inventions 1443-1462 from WritePhi-1 and Project 79 entries 79-A through 79-H) is retained by the inventor. Terms include worldwide commercialization rights for the manufactured hardware.
