WPQ-DIMM-4 — Reference (4-disc stack)

(USD). A reference WPQ-DIMM in the 4-disc stacked form factor. Approximately 160 quantum tiles per DIMM. Same physical envelope and CXL 3.0 interface as WPQ-DIMM-1; four discs coupled into the bridge PCB via a shared V-groove fibre array with wavelength-division multiplexing.

Physical envelope

  • JEDEC DDR5 UDIMM, 288-pin edge, tall-DIMM 34.0 mm height.
  • CXL 3.0 memory-semantic (Type-2). Same host compatibility as WPQ-DIMM-1.
  • Weight ≤ 75 g. Power ≤ 15 W. Passive cooling.

What is different from WPQ-DIMM-1

  • Four Q-Blanks stacked horizontally on the mounting frame instead of one.
  • Enlarged V-groove fibre array to couple all four disc edges.
  • Photonic transceiver operates in wavelength-division multiplexed mode across the four discs.
  • Tile count: approximately 160 tiles per DIMM (4× WPQ-DIMM-1).
  • Ships pre-written with a 4-disc-parallel reference design that demonstrates cross-disc tile scheduling.

Who buys DIMM-4

Buyers whose workloads need per-DIMM tile density beyond what the 1-disc variant provides. AI-inference platforms doing multi-head attention across large embedding dimensions. Defense signal-processing programs running wide FFTs or long-time-window correlations. Research groups characterizing scale-up behavior before deploying WPQ-Bed multi-DIMM chassis.
