Q-Blank M-Pack (20 writable blanks)

(USD). Twenty WritePhi Q-Blanks in the M-chemistry rev 1 — the writable substrate for authoring your own WPQ-DIMM designs.

What a Q-Blank is

A Q-Blank is a 120 mm × 1.2 mm polycarbonate disc — the same physical envelope as a commercial BDXL Blu-ray blank — carrying a specialized photonic-quantum recording chemistry. Where a BDXL blank stores data bits, a Q-Blank holds circuit elements: waveguides, resonators, phase shifters, single-photon sources, and detector elements are formed as the WritePhi Writer inscribes them.

M-chemistry rev 1

  • Target wavelength: 1550 nm operation.
  • Propagation loss: target ≤ 3 dB / cm.
  • Thermo-optic stability: refractive-index drift ≤ 1×10-4 / K across 0-85 °C.
  • Photostability: ≥ 10,000 hours of continuous operation with no visible feature degradation.
  • Feature resolution: sub-diffraction-limit; waveguide widths 250 nm, phase-shifter alignment ± 30 nm.

What is included in the M-Pack

  • Twenty Q-Blanks in individual anti-static cases, pre-primed with the M-chemistry recording layer.
  • Batch certificate of analysis (propagation loss, refractive index, photostability test summary).
  • Handling and storage instructions.

What the buyer needs to use them

  • A WritePhi Writer (Project 57 SKU, sold separately). One Writer produces one written Q-Blank at a time.
  • A WritePhi Dicer (Project 57 SKU, sold separately) if the buyer intends to assemble WPQ-DIMMs from their own designs.
  • A WritePhi-Q SDK license (WP2-SDK) to author designs and produce .wpprog files, unless the buyer only uses stock designs from the WPQ-Library.

Not compatible with commodity BDXL readers

A written Q-Blank is a circuit processor, not a data disc. It will not read in a standard Blu-ray drive; the recording chemistry produces optical circuit elements rather than data pits.

Firewall — what this SKU is NOT. Not an IP transfer. Not a patent license. What the buyer receives is a design + product license package. All underlying platform IP (inventions 1443-1462 from WritePhi-1 and Project 79 entries 79-A through 79-H) is retained by the inventor. Terms include worldwide commercialization rights for the manufactured hardware.
