PCBWritePhi — Industrial / Wartime Production Package
PCBWritePhi Industrial / Wartime Production package
Project 112 · cri-one.com portfolio · commercial rights · rev 0.1
When board supply chains are cut, a plant still needs circuit boards: spares, repair boards, short runs and new designs. PCBWritePhi writes a working two-sided board from a copper-clad blank, on site, the same day. There is no fabrication house in the loop, no etching chemistry, and no network connection. The writers are bench machines, and a production cell is as many of them as the floor needs, fed by one offline CAM station.
What you get
- Everything in the Home Hobbyist package, with the commercialization rights.
- The writer CAM, which runs now: stdlib Python, 101 tests, Gerbers from any CAD tool.
- The gates: a grade rule check, exact toolpath verification against the copper, a bridge check, height-map warp compensation, and a camera-fit gate for the flip. The CAM refuses to cut a board that would come out shorted or out of register.
- The outputs: G-code for both sides with arcs, drilling, an outline with tabs, optional rub-out, and SMD parts on either side.
- Both grades: M (30° V-bit, the lead grade) and L (UV laser galvo head, for finer pitch), as appliance specifications. Also the consumables specification: blanks, rivets or paste, and bits, all of which can be stockpiled. And the registration kit specification.
- Commercial rights to build and sell writers and the boards they make, worldwide, non-exclusive.
- 40 hours of inventor support for bring-up and production-cell planning, scheduled after purchase.
- Design-estimate planning figures: the demo board's estimated machine time is 12.5 minutes, or 28 minutes with rub-out. These are estimates, not measurements on a machine.
Why this suits disrupted production
- No lead time: a design goes from file to cut board on site.
- No etchant: no hazardous chemistry to ship, store or dispose of.
- No cloud: the CAM is plain Python with no network dependency, and runs on an isolated workstation.
- Stockpileable consumables with a published specification.
- Refuses unsafe jobs: a writer will not cut a board its checks say is shorted, unregistered or warped beyond its limits.
Honest state
The CAM runs and is tested. No writer has been built and no board has been cut. Every machine figure is a design target. Nothing in the package is certified to any military, aerospace, safety or industry standard. A buyer building writers for regulated or defense use does that qualification themselves.
Coinciding work
PCBWrite (Project 111, sold separately) turns a KiCad schematic into a laid-out board. With --writer M, it lays the board out to the writer's rules and hands over the cut files in one command. ICWritePhi (Project 110) is the chip-scale sibling. Its controller interlock design is the basis of the writer controller.
Invention record
Anchored in the inventor's 2017-2018 invention record: a subtractively written, laser-cut conductor layer, with circuit-board-printer entries from the 2017 book. The record anchors are delivered with the package and are not published here.
Delivery: nothing downloads from the store. The package is sent by email after purchase, to the address on the order. The support hours are scheduled after purchase.
License: worldwide, non-exclusive commercialization rights to make, use and sell products built from the package. Full terms are in LICENSE.md of the package. Retained: patents, prosecution and enforcement rights, trademarks and the inventor record. This is not a patent license or assignment.
US companies only. USD-only. Final sale. Email and postal mail only.
